Label TextTom Stancliffe holds a BS in art from Illinois State University and an MFA in sculpture from Northern Illinois University. His commissions include Carousel, a fabricated bronze sculpture for the Cedars Light Rail Station in Dallas, Texas; and Dikotomia and Pediment, part of the Iowa State University Museums Art on Campus Collection at Reiman Gardens. Stancliffe currently teaches at the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa. The base is designed specifically for the "Megaplanet" by Josh Simpson, a 70 lb. orb of glass.
