Label TextFulper Pottery was one of the most prolific, successful, and long-lasting art potteries in America. Fulper had operated in Flemington, New Jersey, producing utilitarian stoneware since the early nineteenth century. The majority of its production was simple solid oriental shapes with brilliantly colored glazes. Source: met.com
“Like Teco and Hampshire, the Fulper Pottery utilized a large number of molded forms to prevent production costs from driving the price of the pottery beyond the reach of potential customers. Emphasis was placed on the development of dozens of classical, yet molded forms. The result was efficient production of a quality art pottery.” Excerpt from Bruce Johnson’s The Official Price Guide to Arts & Crafts.
