Label TextAvis Andre has been around the world twice, but always comes back to Ames where she has lived for nearly 70 years. “Iowa always has been my home,” Andre said. “I was born and grew up in northeast Iowa in the small town of Lime Springs.” Andre retired in 1997, serving 25 years as academic fiscal officer in the ISU College of Veterinary Medicine and 14 years in the ISU College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
