Label TextThe shapes of the core-form vessels were based upon common Greek vessels made from clay. In the sixth and fifth centuries B.C. those vessels included the alabastron, oinoche, amphoriskos, and aryballos. The aryballos was used by bathers as a container for oil; the vessel was suspended from their wrists.
