Label TextHercules was the name adapted in Roman mythology for the Greek mythological figure Heracles. In Roman mythology, he is the son of immortal Jupiter and mortal Alcmene. He was made to perform twelve heroic tasks and with their completion became an immortal god. Hercules is often compared to the biblical Samson who also possessed super-human strength and succeeded in the completion of many heroic tasks.
