This motel is located off the beaten path. The interstate highway in the background separates the motel from the rest of a fast-paced society. From a bygone era when people and their cars wandered highways and stopped often for entertainment and refreshments, it seems as though the motel seldom flashes the NO Vacancy sign and may be mostly forgotten, just as the broken native pots in the foreground.
