Label TextGreenamyer used folk art and the visual narrative tradition to tell a story. Th efour sculpture groups atop the metal support depict the removal of raw materials from the earth; research and development of these materials enhanced by science, technology and engineering; the creating of new and improved products; and, the delivery of new products to the consumer. The individuals depicted in the sculpture at the time of its creating were the staff and scientists of the Applied Science Center.
