On viewLabel TextThe College of Veterinary Medicine moved from the Veterinary Quadrangle to its present facilities in the mid-1970s. At that time, an alumnus and arts patron generously purchased large, colorful paintings to enhance the vast corridors and public spaces of the sprawling new building.
Dr. John G. Salsbury, DVM '40, and Mrs. Doris Salsbury, acquired and gifted 35 M. J. Kitzman paintings for the newly constructed College of Veterinary Medicine. The paintings are part of the university's permanent art collection and comprise the largest collection of Mr. Kitzman's work. These paintings are on view in the college lobbies, corridors, conference rooms, library and public spaces.
