Label TextThis handkerchief vase was created in the Grotesque style, not because it is displeasing to look at but because it was a break in the traditional glass created by Steuben Glass Works. It was blown free form, and therefore, no two vases are alike. All vases in this style by Steuben are clear at the base and gradually shade up at the top to an amber, turquoise or violet shade. The purpose of the color is to provide a contrast between the two shades and emphasize the clear glass.
