Label TextThis is a photoetched version of a line drawing in pen and ink. Darling had at least six impressions of this state of the plate printed, and on a few of them he drew in the darks he wanted, such as the markings of the duck, the shadows on the building, the ground, etc. Meaney, following the indications Darling made on one of these proofs, and did the subsequent drypointing work on the plate.Two drawings closely related to this subject are known.
