Label TextCameo glass was first developed by ancient Romans around the 1st century A.D. Two contrasting colors of layered glass were blown, and then carved to reveal the different colors underneath. The fruit motif of this vase, either grapes or berries, is of the Art Nouveau style which based its designs on organic shapes from the nature.
