Baichoro Kunisada

Kunisada, most often referred to today as Kunisada II produced a series of illustrations for all 54 chapters of THE TALE OF PRINCE GENJI, long romantic novel written in the tenth century by the poetess Muraaki Shikibu and re-published in the early nineteenth century when it became a favorite source of subjects for woodcut artists.
