Peggy BaconAmerican, 1895 - 1987
Born in 1895 in Ridgefield, Connecticut, Peggy Brook Bacon is known for her caricatures and illustration. Mediums she used included charcoal, etchings, graphite/ pencil, ink drawings, and watercolor. Her style is considered to be early modern (before 1950's) and she was taught by the likes of Andrew Dasburg, George Bellows, John Sloan and Kenneth Hayes Miller. Bacon died in 1987 in Kennebuck, Maine.
