English man, born in Liverpool, associated with the literary work of London in the 1890s, afterwards residing in the U.S.A.
Joined the staff of "The Star" in 1891. Married to Mildred Lee, who died in 1894 and in 1897 he married Julie Noiregard, although they divorced a few years later.
