D'ArgentalFrench (Munzthal, France), 1919 - 1925
Founded on the site of a glassworks in existance since 1586, and originally given the name Verrerie Royale de St Louis by decree of Louis XV. D'Argental is a mark used in France by the Compagnie des Cristalleries de St. Louis. The firm made multilayered, acid-cut cameo glass in the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Cameo glass was made with the D'argental mark from 1919 to 1925. D'Argental is the French name for the city of Munzthal, home of the glassworks. Later they made enameled etched glass.
