1859 by Johnson, King & Co., which in 1883 became King, Son & Co., and in 1887 the King Glass Co. of which W. C. King was president, was originally started as a pressed tableware factory. King & Son Glass Company was a producer of pressed glass around the end of the nineteenth century. The plant was located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, founded in 1864. The company later became one of the companies that formed the U. S. Glass Company in 1891.
