Ohio Flint Glass CompanyAmerican (Bowling Green, OH; Lancaster, OH; Dunkirk, IN), 1893 - 1908
Ohio Flint Glass Company began in Bowling Green, Ohio, in 1893, using a rented factory while awaiting their new building in Dunkirk. This new factory was destroyed in a fire in 1899, so the company moved to Lancaster, Ohio. They became a part of National Glass and they expanded. They closed in 1908, reopening later that year as a new firm, The Lancaster Glass Company, which, in turn, became a part of Hocking Glass Corp. in 1937.
