Eskilstuna jernmanufaktur AB , later the Iron Company , was a Swedish engineering company, operating in Eskilstuna .
Eskilstuna jernmanufaktur was founded as a company in 1868 by Johan Svenngren (1818-1905). This had taken over in 1852 the factory movement of Christoffer Zetterberg (1775-1852) started in 1811, with the production of saber, florets, knives and padlock. Eskilstuna Jernmanufaktur consisted of an iron and steel manufac turbine factory and a tacky foundry, and later also an electric hydropower station at Tunafors . In 1929, the company had 600 employees.
The iron company made products such as cutlery, scissors, hinges, watch stands, padlocks, cigar cups, folding knives, skates, carpentry tools and household scales. The factory was laid down in September 1966, when the final casting took place.
