Christopher Allan(American, b. 1946)
Allan was Research Assistant on English Watercolors, then Assistant Keeper of Prints at the Whitworth Art Gallery, University of Manchester, England from 1970 to 1977. In 1977 he was appointed Senior Assistant Keeper, then Deputy Director of the Hunterian Art Gallery, University of Glasgow. He retired from this position in 1996. He continues to give one day a week of his time to the Hunterian in retirement and works on his own painting projects.
