Kathy Triplett
Triplett received her BA degree from Agnes Scott College (GA) and studied extensively in Italy and Mexico. Her ceramics have been exhibited at the National Museum of Ceramic Art (MD), Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum (DC), Museum of Arts and Design (NY), Mint Museum of Craft + Design (NC), Mississippi Museum of Art, North Carolina Museum of History and San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts (TX).
Collections in which her work can be found include the City of Charlotte (NC), Asheville Pack Place Conservancy (NC), North Carolina Artwork for State Buildings, NationsBank (NC), Raleigh Federal Bank, Lowe’s, Inc. (NC), Arkansas Art Center and The Horn Collection of Contemporary Crafts (AR).
Kathy currently works from her studio in Western North Carolina.
Kathy Triplett lives and works on a mountainside of Asheville, North Carolina, where she gardens, studies French, and makes teapots, wall pieces, tiles, and planters. Kathy, who also leads ceramics workshops around the country, was awarded a 1996 North Carolina Arts Council Fellowship and is a member of Piedmont Craftsmen, IN. and the Southern Highland Handicraft Guild. Kathy has worked with clay since 1971; her art has been exhibited widely, and her pieces are included in pricate, public, and corporate collections from the United States to Japan.
