Sharon Burns-Knutson(Irish-American, b. 1948)
Grew up in Cedar Rapids , only Irish family in Czech neighborhood and is the second oldest of five children; a sixth child died at age three. Married with two teenaged sons and teaches grade school art part-time in Iowa City. Served as a visiting artist Mt. Mercy College in Cedar Rapids and Universisty of Minnesota. Participates in the Iowa Arts Council' s Touring Arts Team along with their Artist-in-Schoos Program.
