Label TextWhile Footed Red acts like a column with an ornate base and explosive capital, it also refers to the figure, the landscape, and flight. Like Isadora Duncan in the ruins of ancient Greece, Footed Red is posed for a dramatic gesture connecting earth and sky. There is also a bilateral symmetry developing in the work that predicts a shift from the more organic nature of Priscilla Sage early works to the more geometrically sequenced forms to come.
