Label TextJacobson (B.S. ’80 history and B.A. ’80 advertising design). Since 1998 Jacobson was a museum project management and planning consultant providing exhibit content and design development, interpretive and strategic planning, and audience research. Before co-founding her firm THINK Jacobson & Roth (1998 – 2013), Lori was a museum curator and educator at museums in McAllen, Texas, and in Los Angeles, and director of the nonprofit Western States Museum Association. She was a student employee with Brunnier Art Museum from 1977 – 1980 and remained on staff for a year following graduation. Lori made significant and enduring contributions to the University Museums throughout her professional career, and most recently provided project management and strategic planning skills to University Museums (UM)—past projects include design development of the WOW wall in MU, conceptual planning for the Christian Petersen Art Museum, UM Strategic plan 2017-2022, UM former student intern survey, and project management of the recent UM Campus Beautiful publication. Lori passed away in January 2018.
