Label TextBouffleur, a graduate from the University of Washington, taught at Iowa State College from 1922 until 1924 under the direction of Paul Cox. The matte green glazing of this vase harks to the very popular Grueby Pottery matte green glazes of the Arts and Crafts Movement used in all shapes of pottery and tiles.
MarkingsMarks include an early version of the ISC impressed logo, the impressed monogram of the artist in a circle and the number 46 in black slip.
