Label TextLingo uses symbols and light to communicate. Similar to Egyptian hieroglyphics, these symbols serve as a Rosetta Stone for a language expressed through vision and light rather than words. Many symbols in Lingo are familiar and recognizable, while others are unreadable and mysterious, illustrating a language that needs deciphering in non-linear methods. Lingo is a six-foot dome with wing-like projections emanating from the center, with wing-like projections emanating from the center, and metal rings wrapping around the body. The work of art is suspended from the ceiling with cables and is lit internally with neon light that illuminates the symbols, negative space cut-outs and the surrounding ceiling.
