Label TextThis doll was donated by Ruhe Linn, a niece of Carrie Chapman Catt, who was an 1880 graduate of ISU and famed leader of the women's suffrage movement during the early 1900's. The doll, which was purchased at the National Suffrage Bazaar in New York City in 1900, was given to Mrs. Linn as a gift. The doll was dressed by Mrs. Leslie Shaw, wife of the governor of Iowa at that time.
