Label TextThis model was created as the design proposal for the Black Engineering Building's Art in State Buildings Project, and was submitted to the campus review committee in 1986. Following committee approval the artist fabricated the sculpture, "Carom," and it was installed in 1989, in front of Black Engineering. The completed sculpture is high-strength aluminum and 30' tall and 22' long.
An abstracted sculpture, "Carom" reflects the uses, manipulations of metal, and the engineering's department's investigations of materials and their tensile strengths.
