New Hall Porcelain Works was in business in Shelton, Hanley, Staffordshire, England, ifrom 1781 to 1835. Simple decorated wares were made. New Hall is known for its milk-white, translucent, hard-paste porcelain. Between 1810 and 1825, the factory made a glassy bone porcelain sometimes marked with the factory name. Do not confuse New Hall porcelain with the pieces made by the New Hall Pottery Company, Ltd., a twentieth-century firm working from 1899 to 1956 at the New Hall Works.
