Born in 1936 in Pavlikov, Czechoslavakia, Jirí Anderele gained an international reputation as a painter and printmaker after his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague from 1955-61. Since 1966 he has regularly exhibited his works at a variety of museums across the United States and Eastern and Western Europe.
