Harry B. Wagoner (1889-1950) was born in Rochester, Indiana on November 5, 1889. He studied art with Homer Pollock and in Paris. Returning from Europe, he lived in Chicago. During the late 1920s he began spending winters in southern California. He was a resident there of Palm Springs, Beaumont and Altadena. Well known as a painter of California and Arizona desert scenes, he was a resident of Phoenix for several years before his death there on April 9, 1950.
He as a member of the Hoosier Salon; International Society of Sculptors, Painters and Engravers; Pasadena Sculptors and Painters.
He exhibited in the Stendahl Gallery, Los Angeles, 1927.
Works of art are in the Royal Academy, London, and Cooper Union, New York City.
