Label TextShearer graduated ISC in 1912. He was Head of Animal Husbandry Department from 1935 to 1954. In 1928 he received Master's degree from Iowa State. He joined ISC faculty in 1913. Born May 24,1889 died Oct 20,1978 in Ames, Iowa. Another of his portraits, a painting by Oskar Gross, is in the Chicago Sirloin and Saddle Club. The 1951 Little International Livestock show was dedicated to P.S. Shearer.
