Not on viewLabel TextIn "The Early Arrivals," bird migration has begun early as the pintail ducks begin their journey south, responding to unusual changes in the weather. Darling's depiction of the grey, early morning in March after a night storm, captures how animals instinctively respond to their changing environment. Weather also plays an important role in the social and behavioral patterns of humans. Currently, weather patterns are major influences in society to the extent that we have given them a name - El Niño.
