Not on viewLabel TextAlthough undated, the plate was probably made about 1939, based on his new interest in fishing subject matter, and the handling of the water. The most closely related other work, however, is a cartoon date April 30, 1930, which shows an almost identical fish. There is rich drypoint on the bass and insect, which is worn in some impressions. On the mate of one impression is a sticker that says "VL & A -- Print Selection, Main Floor $20," indicating that this print was one of the only two which Darling is known to have marketed.
