Label TextA lighthouse is seen on the cliffs of the Atlantic Ocean. Montauk Point is the eastern most point of New York State. Built in 1795, the lighthouse on Montauk Point is the oldest in the state of New York. Margolies studied at Cooper Union Art School and the National Academy of Design. He was involved in the WPA as a printmaker from 1935 until 1939.
